On 13 January at around 3:00pm Nahed al-Madhoun (46) was witness to a repeated direct attack on two children driving a cart in the az-Zeitoun district of Gaza. According to him, Nabeel Mekhraq (17) and Feras Abu Samra (left, aged 17) were subjected to at least three aerial attacks by drone planes which pursued them as the attempted to escape by horse and cart. As they lay dying on the ground no ambulances could get Israeli coordination to reach them despite repeated calls. The bystanders were afraid to offer aid or assistance as the drones continued to circle overhead and threaten a further attack. Both children were killed in this attack.
