Defence for Children International-Palestine, in coalition with a number of prominent human rights organisations, have invited Baroness Catherine to meet with them during her current visit to the Occupied Palestinian Territory. The Baroness has recently condemed the ongoing culture of impunity in respect to Israeli violations of international law. She has underlined that Israel must respect and uphold international law, including human rights law, in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. In her role as the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy for the European Commission, the Baroness can work to ensure the European Union places respect for international law at the centre of future negotiations. The coalition of human rights organisations calls for this meeting in order to discuss how the EU can work to promote the rule of law and end the occupation.
